  • Step 1: Maximized Nutrition  We start a healthy, traditional diet by eliminating processed foods and sugar. This will remove the physical and dietary stress on your body – the biggest contributor to our allostatic load. Many people are also so mineral deficient that their bodies are unable to absorb the little nutrients that they are eating. We support this through whole food supplementation to encourage your body’s innate ability to heal. We use your history and testing to determine exactly what diet and whole food supplements are right for you.

  • Step 2: Maximized Exercise Most people either do not exercise at all or they are not doing it correctly. Aerobic exercise is safe, low-impact, and proven to increase metabolism, strengthen the heart, and increase endorphin levels. Along with personalized strengthening exercises and heart rate monitored aerobic exercise, our exercise program can be done by a person of any size or age. Whether it’s taking long walks or jogs or simply doing chair exercises, we formulate a program designed for you that employs all the benefits of aerobic exercise.

  • Step 3: Education & Accountability  The word doctor translates from “doce,” the Latin word for “teach.” No program without proper education can create long-term healing. This program requires you to make lifestyle changes, something that can be very difficult. Because we work so closely with our patients, we personally teach and guide you through every aspect of your treatment. We do this through weekly office visits, food diaries to track what you are eating, providing recipes and helpful ways to prepare your foods, and ongoing testing to track your results.  We are here to be your partner to help you achieve your health goals.

How does Spinal Decompression Therapy Work?

Spinal Decompression Therapy restores proper function to an injured disc by producing a controlled, mechanical traction on the spine using a decompression device. Using a gentle pulling motion, the device overrides the natural instinct of the muscles to tense up and spasm. Relaxed muscles allow for a better pull on the spine and therefore a healthier disc.

Patients lie on a large, computerized table where they will be comfortably secured. The table will gently pull the vertebrae away from one another, targeting the specific levels of the injured discs. This stretching creates a vacuum-like effect within the discs of the spine, pulling fluid back in and reducing the bulge. Once the disc bulge is retracted, pain will subside and the fluid in the disc will allow for healing.

Benefits of Decompression Therapy

  1. Rehydrates and heals injured discs

  2. Reduces pressure on the nerves

  3. Enables long-term disc repair

  4. Safer than surgery

  5. No long-term side effects
